Jennifer Brown received her Bachelor’s and Master’s of Music in Violin Performance from the Wichita State University. Ms. Brown is a substitute section member of the Norwalk Symphony Orchestra and has performed with the Mendelssohn Choir of Connecticut, Wichita Symphony, Opera Kansas Orchestra, and Newton Mid-Kansas Symphony Orchestra. She has received grants and scholarships to pursue music studies at the Rocky Ridge Music Festival, Magic Mountain Music Farm with Burton Kaplan, the Colby College String Quartet Workshop with the Portland String Quartet and the Masterworks Festival. She has completed special graduate courses in violin pedagogy, Kaplan’s Virtuoso String Teacher Seminar and is registered to teach Suzuki violin. Her students’ accomplishments include winning spots in the top four orchestras of the Norwalk Youth Symphony, being accepted to perform on an honors recital and winning a high school concert competition. Having taught students ranging in age from three to retirement, she is passionate about teaching students of all ages and abilities how to play the violin.
