George
Dewar
CELLO INSTRUCTION
George Dewar is a graduate of the Peabody Conservatory; He
also studied at SUNY Stony Brook, West Virginia University, and
The University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He held fellowships
at Waterloo and Aspen Music Festivals and studied with Stephen
Katres, Karen Tuttle, David Finckel and the Juilliard String
Quartet. He was acting assistant principal cellist of the Aspen
Festival Orchestra in 1992 and Principal Cellist at Cape May
Festival Pops Concerts. He is member of Da Vinci Chamber
Players.
In addition, he has had a private studio for the past 25
years and was a teaching assistant to Fred Zlotkin at the Aspen
Music Festival in 1992. His former students play in the Deadalus
String Quartet and Kyoto Symphony in Japan. |
